things are returning to normal... kinda
i felt better yesterday than in a while and managed to have fun last night, mix a new demo cd and play for a few hours at my favorite spot.
my bit of joyfulness added up to 4 free drinks, all top-shelf doubles, and an extra 25 bucks. i made 10 copies of the new cd that i was gonna sell. i ended up giving 9 of 'em away for free... heh. whatever. everyone who got one deserved it. one of 'em gave me the 20 bucks just for playing some funky ass shit. i gave her a cd for free.
i really love it when my joy is contagious. it's mostly like that but not always. i got crapfaced drunk, free food too, lavished praise upon, avoided all drama ('cept when some fucktard decided to play grandmaster flash on one of my records and try to scratch not once but twice. the first time i laughed and said not to do it again. the second time i got unglued... he was a big fucker too).
i have a hectic schedule for the next few weeks. with a little effort i think things will be just fine.
