the theremin kit i got was about 90 dollars...its fairly difficult to build if you haven't done any electronic work before, but the plans take you through it step by step.
the 90 version comes without a case or box, and i wound up puting the electronics in a small breifcase. it looks pretty cool.
if you buy the kit, don't be daunted by the small peices(there are a ton!) and the complexity, but set aside some time to do it...its best to finish the major part of it in one sitting.

oh, yeah, count your peices when you get them, i was missing a few but PAiA sent them out fast.
