So I went to the SG burlesque show on Friday in San Francisco. . . it was awesome. For being in the front I didn't get nearly as dirty as I thought I would!
Nixon and Reagan were amazing. I think their performances were my favorites. Oh, wait! Also Xiolita with her hula-hooping was great too.
What have I been up to??? Busy, busy, busy working on jewelry designs. Shot a bunch of photos of my most recent work for my website. Hopefully I'll be seeing those new photos go up in the next week. Always something new to be doing. . .
Truth be told I haven't shot my set for SG yet, in the next couple of weeks that should be happening. My photographer and I are just too damn busy!
Come October it's back to work at coffee shops for me, the job that pays the bills since the jewlery doesn't pay it all. . . yet! That proposition (working at coffee shops) both excites me and bores me to no end. When I'm working at the coffee shop I get many more requests for jewlery than when I'm not. . . so you see how it goes. . . it either rains or it pours. I either have lots of money (and little free time!) coming in from both avenues or very little. At least people actually are interested in my work. That makes me smile
. I 'm currently mulling over the possibility of applying to CCAC (California College of Arts and Crafts) next year. I'm moving back to Berkeley in April and will be much closer to the school than I am now. I hear it's a pretty amazing place and I really want a cohesive way of expanding my repertoire of jewelry skills. Not that going there will be cheap!
Well, I hope everyone out there in SG land is having a wonderful day, it's back to a necklace in progress for me!
