Today I drove across the Golden Gate bridge for the last time as a resident of California.

My first visit to California I was five and I was hugely disappointed at the Golden Gate bridge. I honestly had thought that it would be made out of gold; at the very least be painted gold, and not be the rusty red color that it is.

Over the years though, I fell in love with that bridge. Alas in recent years we've had some what of a falling out. All the driving on it made me start to loathe the sight of it. Then in the more recent past I was in love with it again because it became a symbol very much related to something that was precious. Then in the immediate past it became a symbol of something precious lost.

Regardless of my feelings towards it, it is one of the most beautiful bridges I've ever seen.

Last night it was the gateway to my friends and I enjoyed every moment of that drive. We went to Dalva and then to a place called Gestalt (a more appropriate name for a bar? I don't think so.) This move is far from easy, but I've got some of the best people in the world happy for me and hopeful. Which makes it just a little bit easier.

Often times, people enjoy the idea of an uncertain future. For the first time in a while, I'm quite happy with a certain future for right now. I will succeed at this new fantastic job, I will enjoy everything the city I'm moving to has to offer and the rest of life will all fall into place as it should.

I make mistakes, hell everyone makes mistakes. But there is a huge difference between making mistakes and intentionally saying something racially motivated.

i personally have no use for Glenn Beck. I watched his show once, outside of seeing Youtube clips here, i have never watched it again. Ignorance should hurt.
