I started out just trying to get pictures of naked chicks. It was just sorta for a little porn swap that I used to do with a co-worker by IM. Then he left and I started sorta venting here, thinking I was invisible. People started to talk to me and tell me it wasn't so bad. Then I realized I was affecting others negatively, so I purposed to tell what was good about my life. And you know something, I enjoy my life so much more now that I have to concentrate on what is good about it. In a way, this place sorta changed my life ... and I found a boyfriend here. Not a bad deal for $50 or whatever it is AND YOU STILL GET NAKED CHICKS!

Today I was given copies of two of my books, old ones, neither of which I had seen in some time. Ther are just small-press chapbooks, nothing to get excited about, but it's great for me because I got a chance to look at what I was writing in my 20s, and what people were willing to put into print for me.

I don't have published writing ... well, except for a couple inane press releases about products no one cared about ... so when I discover something old and creative that I have done, I am often stunned at how good/bad/different my mindset actually was at that point in life. Last night I called my daughter to check in on her. She was at some place in Seattle, at a meeting of revolutionary elements.
The phone connection wasn't very good, but I know it had something to do with either Syria or serious. Maybe sirius?

But at least she's a revolutionary.

Your daughter is cool as hell. Whenever I hear about a person with a free mind, I feel better about the state of things... it's so sad to meet someone who is a full adult, like 30+, who is so completely blind and just being led to the slaughter again and again... because you know they can't be saved anymore.. when I meet someone young with an open mind, I think that's one more person we have on our side... I'll go nuts if I have an uptight, self-righteous, narrow-minded little bastard for a child

I've never been to a poetry reading before, but I really enjoy spoken word. I've never tried my hand at that though. I'm more about written poetry... in fact, I would love to publish a book of poetry illustrated with my drawings. 'Tis a dream of mine. Hope you're having a good day.
