Well I have to turn the rental car in this afternoon. It was fun driving for a while but I only really enjoyed it when I was far from the city. Driving to San Francisco last night just felt dangerous. I can't believe so many people do it every day. What a strange world.
I have to do some writing today. Probably it will be about what I've seen over the past week. I also have about a thousand photos to go over. A few of them really make me happy, but most are just scenery which wouldn't mean much to anyone but me.
Maybe I'l go to open mike tonight and throw some poems out there. I no longer care if people understand what I say, as long as I know what I'm talking about. A few people always get it.
I haven't been to open mike in a few weeks, but I have some readings coming up so I feel like I should be coming up with some new material. Ill have three books to release then.

I've done a lot of thinking about the fun I had with assault weapons. ordinarily they're not something I play around with.
My brother mused on whether they should be legal or not. He's not a lunatic or one of those gun-crazy rednecks you hear about.
He appreciates guns for aesthetic reasons. He also just enjoys shooting.
I grew up doing a lot of shooting and hunting but it's not really a part of my life now.
he has never gotten away from it, in fact it's his main form of recreation after drinking with crusty Nevada barflies and telling tall tales.

We didn't have fully automatic weapons, but they were military issue guns intended to be used in infantry assaults, and you could throw a lot of lead through them in a short time.

We didn't kill anything.
I view everything I do as experimental.

lolablu:
I think viewing everything as experimental is a good way to live. I can imagine all the pressure that would be taken off my life if I could always think that way.
