well things are funny again.
Two cool things that happened lately:

The janitor at school (I've seen him every day for 2 years but never spoke to him nor heard him speak) stopped to tell me he thought all my columns have been insightful. Janitors are my demographic! I never realized he read the paper. Then a moment later the women's softball coach gave me the same kind of respect.

But it was on Tuesday night that someone told me some young poet that I must have talked to sometime described me to her as "a big sexy bear"
that made me feel good.
