Dear Lion King DVD Announcer Guy:

Is it really necessary to refer to Elton John as SIR Elton John? Yes, he was knighted. We understand. And he wrote Tiny Dancer, and wasn't that a wonderful scene in Almost Famous? But until he decides to do something other than adding music to animated movies or rewriting his own songs in honor of deceased royalty, I think...

I did go back. He remembered me, but the store was really busy and his manager was standing RIGHT THERE. So it wasn't really a success, but I did buy some Wonder Woman undies while I was there. I loved Wonder Woman as a kid. If they still made those Underoos that look like her costume I might never wear anything else. Except a coat when it's cold.

Perhaps you should go back a couple of times for a beverage. Now that it's Autumn they should have plenty of hot cider and cocoa on tap. You can work your way up to phone numbers after a bit of chit chat. I'll keep trying too. Good luck!

One thing I miss about LJ is the current music feature. I like people to know just how lame I am when it comes to what I listen to.

Since I don't have that feature here on SG, I feel the need to mention just how fucking good Tom Waits' Alice is. Intended to be a musical, it has such an impressive emotional range, and...

So you commented in my journal a while ago and I didn't see it because I updated while you were posting. How was your coffee?

Rodger, this guy in my English class, gave me two condoms in class today. Lifestyles, spermicidally lubricated with Nonoxynol-9 (which, a recent stuy purports, may actually promote the transmission of HIV vice preventing it). He said a teacher had given him a bunch of them as he handed them out liberally. I won't even touch that one, folks.

Two condoms. I'm starting to develop a...

Went to the Black Cat to see Rainer Maria last night. Got there to see half of the Denali set. Half of Engine Down, starring the guitarist's sister on vocals. Very ballsy. They attacked everything with passion. I don't know if I've ever seen such an aggressive live vocalist, either. Impressive.

Rainer Maria was really, really fun. All smiles and dancing on stage. And Caithlyn...

One thing I dig about Suicide Girls is the spotlight they have on a different girl every time you go to the site. You know, the one on the right with her picture, her job, and why she joined SG? That one.

I dig it 'cause I sometimes overlook a girl or for some reason forget about how cool one is. For example, I really...

I am heartbroken.

I went to the pet store today to pick up crickets for Nicholas and Alexandra (who tried to sting me last night, by the way), and I saw what might prove to be the cutest puppy ever.

She's this tiny little white beagle with black spots on her back and brown splotches on her cute puppy face. And she's $900. The evil...

I just got back from drinking with the folks from work, and I gotta turn around and go back to work in the morning. What a fucking drag.

You know what else is a drag? The chicks at work telling each other they need to find me a date. That, and the obvious and not-so-obvious moves some of them are attempting to make on me....

My sister turned 22 today.

Okay, so yesterday. But it's still her birthday in Reno. I called her when I got off work. She seemed down.

I miss her.

Happy birthday, kid. I love you.

In keeping with the new and socially-available Suicide Me, I offer you the following opportunity:

My (ahemcommunityahem) college is planning a trip to New York on November 1st to see the Producers. I was thinking about going, but not seeing the musical. You know, just bum around the city where everyone's your friend (according to certain bands). However, I lack a knowledge of the city...
