Finished Brave New World. Food for thought. Maybe not an entire meal, but at least an hors d'oeuvre, I guess.

I want to take a walk, but it's getting late, and I have to wake up early. On top of which, I'm unsure of the late-evening civility of the folks in this neighborhood, if you catch my drift. But it certainly is pleasant outside, all crisp and autumny.

Misery connotes freedom? Suicide is liberation? I'm not sure Huxley was trying to make these points in particular, but they're what I read in his words. At least in the last few chapters. And naming that character John, too.

I lack pensive music for midnight walks in the Fall. Winter afternoons, maybe. But not Fall midnights. Someone please rectify.

Ben Folds Five. Selections from The Lowest of the Low's second album "Hallucigenia". Pachabel.

autumn is a good time to walk.

Huxley seemed to be a bit of a ponce to me. his stories are interesting, but his fear of the misuse of technology seems to over rule anyn possibility of him accepting the benefits of technology.

'sides, i found 1984 by Orwell more intimidating. never again will i read that book, even i need to sleep sometimes.

HT boy did mention he's in a band, but since he's nothing more than eye candy I figure it's ok.

I personally don't care what Huxley's message was at this point. I just daydream about living in a world without care. If you don't know your life is without meaning you're not missing one damn thing.
