Is it really necessary to refer to Elton John as SIR Elton John? Yes, he was knighted. We understand. And he wrote Tiny Dancer, and wasn't that a wonderful scene in Almost Famous? But until he decides to do something other than adding music to animated movies or rewriting his own songs in honor of deceased royalty, I think just plain Elton will suffice, thank you very much.
