today i picked up the wilco documentary "i am trying to break your heart" on dvd.
man...i guess i had never realized just how much i actually love, and mean LOVE the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot album.
it's funny, i was playing the record just last night on my computer for the 23rd time acording to windows media player, and if you were to count all the times i've played it on the home stereo and in the car it could easly be around 50-60 times.
remember that the record just came out last year too!
YHF is the kind of record that i can simply cannot tire of...it fits like a glove no matter how i feel or what kind of mood i may be in at the time.
the other wilco records are great too, but YHF holds a very special place in my heart that is reserved for just a handful of lp's that i have heard in my lifetime.
i guess i've always felt that way abut YHF, but it wasn't until i watched the film just a few minutes ago did i realize just how important a record that is to me.
if i were to kick off right now, YHF would easily make my all time top 10 records of my lifetime.
for me, that is really saying something.
now feel free to go back to your lives where actually, significant things like family, religion, careers, and loved ones actually make the difference while i sit here and listen to wilco and shiver.
