A new year, a new beginning, alone again, what else is new? I'll tell you what's new, ME. I'm going to make sure that this year doesn't slip away like so many others have. I'm going to MAKE things work out to MY advantage for once. I'm through being walked on, no more bending over backwards to please everybody else. That train has left the motherfucking station. I'm too fucking old to keep scraping by on the scraps left by the people I've broken my fucking back for. No more shitty luck, I'll make my own goddamned luck from now on. No more taking what I can get, I'll take what I fucking WANT and make GODDAMN sure I get what I need. I'm through being at the mercy of the world, all that's gotten me is bootprints on my back and more scars on my heart than there are in the whole burn unit. No more being the audience to my own misery, if things are fucking up on me, I'm moving on it. I don't need people who don't have time for me, or don't feel the way about me that I deserve. So anybody that wants some shit, step right up, I got 32 years worth of it just waiting for the next motherfucker. You want something good, I got that in spades and I'm happy to spread it around, but from now on, people are gonna get what they deserve from me. So if you want something from me you better know in advance just what it is that you've earned, because I'm done being used up. I'll always have plenty to give and I'll never back away from giving it, but I'm through with anyone who thinks they can get something for nothing.
