Damn, I've been slacking on updating this damn thing.
Well, here's what's going on in my exciting world. I'm settled pretty well into my job although the guy who works before my shift on Saturdays seems to be taking advantage of me being the new guy, either that or he's just a slack assed bitch who needs a kick in the ass or three.
I'm working in a health food store and surprisingly enough, not everybody I work with or deal with as a customer is a hippy! Actually, very few people who come in would fit that particular bill and even less of the staff. This is DEFINITELY a good thing, I have to admit that was a concern when I took the job.
Anyway, there still isn't much to do around here, at least not that I've discovered yet, but my social retardation isn't exactly helping me out with that either. So far the only people I've even met have been my coworkers and while most of them are actually pretty cool, none of them have turned into my new best friend or anything. The only thing anybody has told me about doing at night is going to the bars. I don't have a problem hanging out at bars, but since I don't drink, I'd feel pretty stupid going to one by myself. One of my usual nighttime activities back home was hitting a couple bars and shooting pool, but I always had someone to go with and knew a lot of people that I would see down there too. I'm sure there's pool tables in the bars here, but I'm not the outgoing type of guy who is just gonna waltz up to a stranger and invite myself into their game or start one up myself. I guess I'll just have to get to know some more people or get to know some of my coworkers better and then I can go do this shit. It's not THAT big of a deal, I'm usually pretty content hanging out on my own anyway. The only thing that sucks is that tomorrow is the ONLY holiday I really care about and I've got nothing to do.
Now, for a little GOOD news, I've got clearance from my job to take my trip in December now, so I just have to figure out the exact dates and get this thing moving, it's been put off for WAAAAAAAAAAY too long now. And once again, that's ALL I'm saying on that matter for now, I don't need my curse to fuck this up for me, so zip go the lips, and all that.
