I'm not all that sure why I bother updating on here anymore as it seems like most people still haven't figured out how to access their bookmarks anyway. I'm still hating this new layout, it's got until the end of August to grow on me. If things don't get better by then I'm pretty sure I will be cancelling my membership. It's not just because of the new layout, but that is still bugging the shit outta me. I haven't had much trouble figuring it out, it's just that it's set up so ass backwards that I'm irritated everytime I wanna do anything and there's not much point in paying to be irritated unless there's a huge payoff to go along with it. Unfortunately, most of the things I enjoy about this site have either gotten so bogged down by the layout or have just fallen away for other reasons.

Happy 4th everybody!
While I have never been a fan of our government and have grown to absolutely despise it as I get older, I think it's important to think about what it was supposed to stand for, not only on a holiday like today, but always. The Constitution was drafted to TRY to guarantee freedom for the people of this nation. While that has never worked perfectly, it seems to have been completely discarded by the current administration and it disgusts me. I find it especially disturbing that things are so warped that these assholes running the country can get away with doing whatever they want and accuse anyone who opposes them of being "unamerican" somehow. I certainly don't have any answers about how to get us back on track, but I hope everyone can take some time to think about where we've gone wrong and what steps we can take to find our way back to our original path.
