I find that this is the best place for me to keep some sort of a journal since I don't know too many people who have SG accounts. Well, it's almost 1am and I have to get up to sit in a fucking cubicle all day bored out of my goddamn mind. Well, I am a little irritated with the current music scene in Chicago. It seems that everyone in it are complete assholes. Even those you thought you were friends with. It's funny how bands will step over each other just to get ahead in the scene. It's actually sort of sad since you can't trust anyone in music. Even those you thought you could. I am really happy that my band isn't like this. We are all about sticking together in the Chicago scene because we all have the same goal in this....to play music for a living. We don't want to be the next Fall Out Boy or My Chemical Romance, we just want to tour and have our music be heard. It would be nice to make a decent amount of money doing it, but that's not the focus. There have been a few people who I thought were good friends to us be very dishonest and shady lately. I guess you find out who your friends in this business really are as time goes on. For any aspiring musician, don't ever expect anyone to help you because no one is going to. You have to do everything yourself and trust me, the reward is a lot sweeter when you get it. Signing off....
