For the last 6 weeks or so my left eye has become increasingly red. I think I just popped a blood vessel

it looks like I have pink eye, except it's not contagious.
unfortunately I have had this for over a month so I have to see my doctor.
The worst part is that it tends to creep people out, I catch people looking and quickly glancing away. It has made me somewhat self concious, enough to prompt me to wear sunglasses when I leave the house.
It has also made me think of how some people must feel about any...atypicalness that might be more noticable outside of direct eyecontact.

I had pink eye once, and then it turned out I was allergic to the eyedrops, so it got really painful and felt like I had glass in my eye. Yeah, I know what you mean about standing out or looking weird. It would get to you after a while.
