I got a new skateboard! Not just a new deck, not just new wheels, but a whole spankin' new set up. Thanks to Uncle Sam for going easy on fucking me up the ass this year, I decided to trade in my outdated, heavy, slow, shitty-ass board and go for a complete upgrade. I am now, quite possibly, one of the happiest fuckers in Raleigh. Except I ain't gettin' any, so maybe not a happy fucker, a happy skater is more like it. And in case it matters: burnquist big board, indies, slimeballs.
So, I avoided Godspeed You Black Emperor, simply because it was sold out. I hate crowds that much. Especially in small places. Especially oversoldout shows in small clubs with foam soundproofing material. Anywho...Mates of State and Rainer Maria this Tues should make up for it. And the Faint is here the day after my birthday; woohoo! But I bet that'll sell out too
The weather is nice, the roads are dry and ready to skate, the coffee is good, the house is clean, the dog is walked, the laundry is drying, and most importantly....the bills are paid. To quote Hannibal from the Ateam: "I love it when a plan comes together."
