I've been sick for over three days now; like a rollercoaster of fevers, snot, and coughs. I don't think I've been this sick in years. It's ironic that the weather is feeling so good and I am feeling so bad. Why can't we ever love each other the same amount at the same time?? I mean, I'm happy and joyous each rainy day, thoughtful on even the most temptingly sunny day, through hurricane and ice storm, I've tempered my emotions stoicly, for what?? For a sweet day that lovers in the springtime, the only pretty ringtime, when the birds do sing, a ring a ding ding, sweet lovers love the spring. Okay, the NyQuil is offically kicking in; I've used most of a whole bottle. Everything is starting to taste like that cherry-death flavor of coughsyrup;even my coffee.
I have made the most of my Netflix account and digital cable. I've spun through "50 First Dates", "The Butterfly Effect", "Duplex", "Kill Bill V.2", the first season of "Voyager", and last night I saw "Hero"; which was fucking amazing. Actually I do a great insult to cinema to even dare to use "fucking" as an adjective in this case. "Hero" was stunningly colored~ it's colors were only over shadowed by the brillance of the actors and the wit of the storyline. The fight scenes played out like Mephisto's Waltz and the whole chemistry of the movie sat well in my stomach. And that says a lot because I was sick as hell. I give it Four Coughs Up and Two Sneezes.
So Bjork's new album is right around the bend and I've been hearing some great stuff from it. "Where is the Line" is entrancing and excitingly creepy. I imagine most won't favor this album compared to her other more dancey fare, but I think that her voice is all that one needs to enjoy that which is Bjork; and the backing of such great vocalists as she has chooses can only prove to be monumental. Nothing of the likes of this has surfaced in the music industry since Fat Boys' "Jailhouse Rap" or Nomeansno's cover of Dead Kennedy's "I don't need this fucking world".
Okay, now I go to my crisp linens; so cripsp that even a tumultuous night of sleep will leave my elbows and sides with strawberry sheet-burns. Maybe NyQuil guide my dreams to a land of stars and wars and stuff. "night ya'll.
