i read at CERN's website that they've pinpointed the beginning of the occurance of "dark energy" in our universe, which has since been depleting our universe of the energy it needs to sustain itself. hence, the many theories of the universe having a limited lifespan or "collapsing".
then i thought of the "his dark materials" trilogy by phillip pullman and my stomach almost snapped back against my spine! holy shit! he was right, kinda.
very weird.
now, if only i had a subtle knife...
