well shit,
its been a long time since i've been a postin' in here.
heres the update for the last 6 or 7 months....
after i graduated in may i packed up, hopped on my bike and started towards BC.
the weather was great when i left but around winnipeg i got stuck in a snow storm that had most of the prairies snowed in.
so.
i took the bike to a trucking company and they shipped it to vancouver, and i rode a greyhound for thirty six hours straight. not a good time. i could barely sleep cause my poor bike was off in a dark, cold trailer somewhere with some strange trucker. poor baby.
once i got the bike back in BC i lived in vancouver for a week or so, but that city bugs me like a rash so i headed out to my lil' island.
got a job there right away with a builder, working on a multimillion dollar house...but i couldnt find a place to rent right away, so i lived in a tent.
found a place to live in june/july sometime, and bought a big ol 3/4ton pickup around then too.
a neighbour and i decided to go into business for ourselves and i quit the other job and we started doing construction on our own, which is just heaven. no boss, good pay, flexible schedule, and the dood i'm workin with is a real good guy.
recently i moved to a different house on a 25 acre property, got a puppy, and eventually got dialup internet. woohoo. its not so good checkin out the SG on the slow connection, thats why i havent updated in a while.
so, thats roughly the lowdown on my days recently.
i'll upload a pic or two.
i'm back in ontario now for a few weeks, visiting family, but the cold and snow has made me really miss BC. soon enough i'll be back.
anyways, take care in the new year, lets all try and make it a good one.
