Going back to school felt really...familiar.
So the biggest thing I took from the most recent Narnia movie is that Turkish Delight does not involve meat. Which, for years, I thought it was made involving, well, turkey, and not Turkey.
dr_ew:
I wasn't a fan of the movie at all.
yumchen:
I really liked the movie. It got the bad taste of the awful british series out of my mouth finally.
I always thought turkish delight was a pastry.
Go figure, it's powdered sugar covered goo.

dr_ew:

lushoasis:

I found a sequin in my slippers just now.
No, that's it. That's all you're getting.

lemuria:

dr_ew:
I've never noticed before.
Anybody notice how phonetically simmilar "honour" and "horror" are?
It remindes me of a conversation that I had with my Japanese teacher (back when I was taking Japanese), asking him why "no" (iie) and "house" (ie) were so simmilar. He told me it was probably just a meaningless coincedence. It bugged me: I wanted there to be some cool story about why the words sounded...
