i find even now in maturity there are things to admire
the sun peeking out from behind a cloud on a clear ocean sky
a droplet of water on a window, a tiny ant carrying a boulder sized bread crumb, a little child with a toy car screaming with glee, the home grown tv show that brings a rare smile, the couple on a footpath holding hands not yelling or blaming or arguing
with one another they quietly stroll
silence is not happiness but to 'find' it sadness or rather the unhappy state must be identified but in the daily grind
people can become pawns in an unsavoury game
beliefs get tossed away like banana peel apathy takes hold the self rules over all else
pros and cons and subjectivity and objectives and goals and target quotas
losses leave dents in the profit margin
productivity stays low morale decreases passions wane misery is the river of the world -tom waits sang that
but its still too early for me to believe that I have pictures to take, guitar licks to learn, far away places to visit, topics to discuss, albums to salivate to and people to meet
I haven't lived haven't taken the time to look out over the horizon and succumb to the admission that we have accomplished a lot in the years nay centuries that man has occupied this earth.
