okay, the song's "blank generation" by richard hell and the voidoids. my friend pat brought it on our road trip to vermont. i knew if i asked around someone would know. thanks to apostrophenow also.
there's another song by the reducers that i reallly like. the reducers are old school '77 punk from new london ct. i had no idea there were punk bands in CT back then, but there's a compilation that just came out with all old CT punk bands. CT '77 PUNK
if i knew anything about mp3's i'd post some links.
i've always liked punk, but i've never been into that many '77 bads. i've been really big into power violence, crust, 80s british anarcho-punk, old school american hardcore..... almost every kind of punk except for the original punk. the germs have always been a favorite though....
UPCOMING JOURNAL PROGRESS:
okay, so i'm not gonna be doing too many stories in the next month or because i want to work on the material i've already written. i'm really starting to think about doing more readings and i have an opportunity coming in the next month to do that. so i wanna take advantage of that opportunity but don't wanna get up there and look like an asshole.
you might be saying "but joe, you've got a ton of time on your hands with your ribs all fucked up like that." but i say.... motivation is scarce at this point, and i don't want to burn up the little motivation i have writing kick ass journal entries and then have nothing to read in front of people. besides, i'm figureing on recycling old journal material and working on it so i can read it in front of a crowd.
