it seems as though i grew up at the tale end of a time when someone's word was worth something. as i grow older, i see now, that that time has gone. most people don't care about anything other than themselves. the saddest thing is that those people are the ones that move up in the world. when you hold yourself to honor and dignity, you're just holding yourself down.
