My 2nd lover, Linda, has been found to have an invasive carcinoma in her breast tissue. She'll have to have a mastectomy, probably first thing next year. As a nurse, she understands all of the medical stuff, so she's taking it well. She has large ones, so she's thinking she wants a double mastectomy, so she won't be off- balance to one side.
My emotional reaction to most medical procedures is, <Gack!>. I guess I'll get used to it, tho. I'm moving in with her sometime next year.
