Hmpfh. More car repairs. This time, the two front tires went bad. The steel belts in the tires started to separate from the rubber. It's _really_ hard_ to make the rubber stick to the steel belts. It's a tribute to the technology that _most_ steel belts _do_ stay stuck to the rubber for the life of _most_ tires. Just not my two.
Because I drove around on bad tires for a week or so, the vibration did some other damage. My mechanic had to replace the disc brake pads _and_ rotors as well as the tires. $506.83 was the bill. My roomie just happened to have $300.00 in her purse to lend me. I gave him a check for the rest. Goddam. How will I ever repay her???
