So, yesterday I opened up the book I've been writing for just over two years. I've been in a series of rewrites, edits and filling in incomplete parts of the story when to my dismay, two chapters near the beginning just *snaps fingers* disappeared. I took a few deep breaths, muttered a few choice expletives and looked for an unedited copy of the text.
Fortunately, the program I use for my writing has automatic backups, so I simply copied those two chapters over from the day before yesterday's backup.
/mild panic over
...but I will still have a drink.
