where to begin...
I took the cute little red haired girl to the burlesque cabaret. Not only did i get her to myself for an evening, Not only did she spontaneously decide to take the strip tease workshop right before. Not only was it an amazing show. But, i was also feeling like one charming badass that night, and quite capable of making a pass at her.
Of course, the whole thing still fizzled out at end, and i received a whopping reality check.

the very next day...
the love pirate rampage was the greatest party, of , my, life.
many extremes of human behaviour were demonstrated that night.
there was sex, drinking, fighting, puking, dancing, fencing, buses with hot tubs in them, drunk goth chicks, angry frat boys, saucy wenches, trustworthy friends.
<sigh> a pirates life for me.

i went to a life drawing class at TSA a week ago, and i was reflecting on the overwhelming complexity in the beauty of a human body ,,, no, really.
this girl was unusually cute, sure. but what caught my attention was that the whole time she was posing, you could tell that she was thinking about something. her facial expression was changing in such subtle ways, it was almost hypnotic. I would try and register her expression in my mind, put a line down, then when i looked back up, it was so indescribeably different, if had not just tried to write it down, i wouldnt even be aware of the change.
in a photograph or on video this girl would not have merited second glance (ok, thats not true, she was cute) BUT, in person, she was entrancing.

during bike repair class on tuesday we took down our brakes and cleaned them, afterwards, my brakes were squealing like two stuck pigs. making pedestrians scatter at my approach to cross walks and making every stoplight a dramatic entrance. i know i know, they just need to toed in, and i need to clean the pads. but the point im trying to make is that this reinforces my theory of machine empathy, the more love you give them, the more they crave. the more you oil and clean, the more you need to adjust and tweak. as opposed to the beater commuter bike who hasant been tuned in 3 yrs and just keeps rolling without complaint. wish winter could be over and i could just get out and ride.

lycoris:
I missed the show, unfortunately. I had a sexy friend over, so I have a good excuse. wink

I want to get into posing for life drawing classes, but I have no idea how to go about that. I suppose I could try calling up a place that does them and ask? wink

I modeled for my ex when he was applying to an art college and yes, it was hard! But hey, it's fun too. smile I used to draw, but I haven't for ages. Good thinking about talking to a model or two ...

I went to Restoration Hardware this week (was excited to see that there's one near me, too) but BOO! It's a furniture store, like Pottery Barn! No goggles in sight, though they had some very nice door knockers. wink Perhaps if they had them, they've gone "out of season" or something? D'oh.
