see, that's just it. nothing about what you're describing is "human culture." go to other parts of the world and you'll find that "traditions" don't even remotely resemble the "masculine" ideals that you've described. in order for something to be "human culture" it's got to be recognized in every culture around the world, otherwise it's just a cultural construct.
so what you really want out of the world is for people to revert to (or maintain) an old cultural tradition. but, in reality, the culture you live in is a fluid thing that's going to keep morphing and changing. gender roles being a huge part of it all.
if you want to keep those traditions in the world, the only thing you can do to make it happen is to embody them yourself. you can't (or expect to) change anyone else. you'll only end up frustrated, which, i believe, is where you're at now. you can certainly keep your traditions, and pass them down thru your lineage. it's the only way they'll survive, really.

My deadline for moving to Spain is July of 2007, this week i'm gonna try to finish getting some paper work done so i can begin my application for dual citizenship. I'm tired of working on maggie's farm... I'm out.

initially, I planned to go in june- but it seems that I may have to push the trip back for another few months-I've been planning to go to Barcelona for a long time already- I met a guy from Barcelona a while ago and i want to see him again and my last name also happens to be Barcelona- so I kinda have a few reasons to go - and I'm also learning Flamenco now- - I'll let you know when I finalize my plans.
