So after years of flirting with the idea of finally running my own website, I used the plethora of free time being in a new country, not knowing anyone, or speaking the language, and not having my Jeep yet, to finally get around to it.

I've owned whoisyourdaddyandwhatdoeshedo.net for years. It's pretty much only been used to host files & such. The URL is basically a placeholder until I come up with something better. It was just something I used to always say when I worked IT/HelpDesk support & I didn't know the right thing to say. It was my users & coworkers way of knowing I'd given up.

I've been getting a lot of ideas from friends back home, and most of them are based on being an American redneck in Europe. I like it, but it's a bit short-sighted. Whatever I go with, I need to think long-term. I don't know where I'll be in a few years, so I don't want to be specific with the name. I'm pretty comfortable with my redneck upbringing, and even more comfortable with my current geek/nerd status, so I'll come up something along those lines. Fuck if I know. Ideas?

Anyways... there's nothing really there yet. Just some picture galleries & a few test front page posts with some music videos. I was on a mission this week to share Mumford & Sons with friends/family back home, since they played the Grammys, but nobody knew who they were, so that would explain today's post.

So, from here on out, when I actually post something legit, I'll share it on here too. I don't want to post the exact same thing on multiple blogs, and since my family won't be on my SG profile, it's safer to post there. I'm sure ya'll understand. (See? I said ya'll. Total redneck.)
