i'm so preoccupied right now with whether i'm really going to be able to scrape together enough money to go to sf in 2 weeks. it might be that in order to pay bills that are due right around then, i have to be home to open the mail to cash the paychecks that would make it possible to pay those bills.
i just have to decide that even if i can't afford to go after all, i WILL, without doubt, do the west coast at the end of summer.

i got pulled over by two cops on motorcycles today, on the way to work, because they couldn't see my seatbelt. (it was on.) the only reason that they didn't give me a ticket for expired registration was because i told them i had just GOTTEN a ticket and then i actually showed them my handwritten to-do list in my bag that said: "renew registration," and, "take care of ticket," so they let me off with a warning.
once again: FUCK YOU mercury in retrograde.

everyone has asked about whether i could just get a friend to deposit the checks for me. i probably could (i have VERY nice friends) but i also just underestimated how much STUFF i have to do to my truck before i could leave for a road trip. $200+ worth of stuff. which is manageable if i can spread it over a month, but not in the next 2 weeks in addition to paying the ticket and paying my bills and going to new orleans.
but it's okay! I WILL PREVAIL. i'm going to ft. worth to see dplan there, so at least i'll see more than just the austin show.
