whoa...
tallahasee to St. Pete. Lagged hard at the starbucks over a redeye and a dulce de leche cheesecake (just to tie in a tour full of reminders of my Argentine ex). Oh to lag...Then, caffinated, roard the Econoline down I75 @ 90mph the whole time. What's up w/Floridians driving, militantly, in the left hand lane? Pet peve, for sure, but why? Why the fuck? Anyway...
Hard rain came down a few times, then disappeared...totally FLA. Eventually made it to St. Pete and, it seemed bleak at first. Ultimately this turned out to be the best show for me, as far as my job goes. It sounded really lush and good for the shit gear I had to deal with, even at this place. Apparently it wasn't so good for the dudes, but they didn't show it.
Caught some really good pix of the sunset. Totally what I live for. My 3 favorite colors, I guess, despite the wet, sticky air.
The Makers flowed tonight, just thought I'd add.
So were at this Days Inn...the bar's still open...let's go...we walk in...I swear David Fucking Lynch created the scene. I'm starving, walk to the bar to find out if they still, as advertised, still had food. Old-ass mang at the bar, "Heeeeey, gkooord tur seeya uh-geeyun!" OH SHIT!!!!!
KAY REE OH KEEEE!!!!
Yep. Holy shit, it was a may zing! We sat under the blue light, C-Raw on the claw-stuffed-animal machine, we with the whiskey and smokes... Dude sang Lean on Me, brought tears to my eyes. The Karaoke Hustler sang some countree chunes that made my stomache turn. Wanted Dead or Alive? I choose dead, pls. The XXXXXL woman singing Alanis, fucking amazing. She rules. She fucking rules. Dude that sang that one tune from oldies 100 I can't remember? He was kickass. Oh yeah, the mullet dude that sang Santana Smooth. E for xtra effort and T for nice try.
I love the florida grass that's so tough it holds you up. Gettting up early to hit the pool. Then Orlando...might even get to make out
but I'd be stoked for a jernt and to go to this alleged butterfly sanctuary.
Don't know where this is going. Florida is one of the most surreal places I've ever been to. Repeatedly.
