My first blog post:
It has been a crazy few month, finished classes at the Culinary Institute of America and Cornell, got the damned piece of paper, went to Spain for a month on a culinary tour that changed my life and my perspective on the American food system (I could go into lengthy detail) and drove back to Tennessee to enjoy the summer with my family and friends before the 60 hour work weeks begin again. Yet, I could not be happier or more grateful. I am slowly learning to appreciate the little things in life... now the job hunt begins.. o where to cook o where.. Asheville has a wonderful food scene.. Knoxville is stuck in Corporate purgatory... but should I leave the southeast again... maybe back to San Sebastian in Basque Country... maybe to the west coast.. ahh too many sheeple.. these are the thoughts that linger in my mind.. until then , I am going to plant my garden and drink a Southern Pecan.
