I have just watched Ultraviolet, a glorious sci-fi epic adventure set in a dystopian future where humans fear the weapons they have created out of themselves. Its a great movie written and directed by Kurt Wimmer, who brought us the equally dark but hopeful vision called equilibrium. Yes, Milla Jovovitch plays the lead. But its a part shes suited to. As youve surmised, I highly recommend it.

But not only did I thoroughly enjoy this film, it reminded me of what Ive wanted to do with my life for a very long time. What I feel that really I was put here to do. I want to tell stories. Write books, make films, and produce television, what have you. Stories that affect the world around me. That create art, but also change. Stories that hold a mirror up to the world. That shine a light into the darkness. Grand epic tales that inspire and remind and bring joy and hope.

Okay, maybe thats a little much to ask for from one aspiring writer. But its the dream I have. I think its time to finally stop dreaming it though. Time to get to doing.
