I finally, officially joined SG last night.
...and I was immediately greeted by the wonderful Abbiss who wanted to make friends! there are many great people here, as I've found. thanks, Abbiss, for rolling out the "welcome wagon" for me!
i hope to have the time this summer to support yet another social website. this one, i think, will prove to be more honest and personally beneficial than others...whose going to judge you here?! it'll be great to find some friends with different interests and backgrounds than mine. I am immersed in my own industry and interests, and I'm looking for some new perspectives (like I always have) on life, love, and the spiritual. the contrast of diverse friends and experiences always helps to clarify my thoughts on these issues.
as a graphic designer, 3D animator, and photographer, the SG site is a god-send! other sites seem to suffer from a lack of accessbility, design, and simple aesthetics. myspace is offensive to the eye, limited, and jacked-up with hacks. here there is not as much costumization, but page layout is not the content...pix and words are! Linked-In is useful to build contacts, but not to express true opinions and experimentation.
this summer should be full of new and enlightening experiences. SG will be a part of that.
