Right now I feel like I am living a good news/bad news joke so to speak...

The good news is that I just found out that I was approved for a $ 7500 USD private student loan so that I can go back to school... It will also mean that I will be able to buy my books and maybe a notebook computer in addition to being able to pay for my first semester's tuition.

The bad news is that it is Christmas time... I don't hate Christmas.

It is just that I find the following problems with Christmas:

(A) Too commercialized...

(B) Too many people act like total jerks because of the over commercialization of Christmas ...

(C) Too many people get touchy about saying the phrase "Merry Christmas." That is that the phrase "Merry Christmas" is viewed by too many dumb ass political correctness freaks as just a Christian thing and that it excludes those who are not Christians.

To me, that political correctness line of thought is just a load of crap. I am not a very religious person and I don't have a problem with people wishing me and/or other people a "Merry Christmas." As far as I am concerned, saying "Merry Christmas" has been a part of American culture for over 150 years.

I also feel that those who are not Christians can still celebrate Christmas in a non religious way or they can celebrate Hanukkah, New Years Eve/Day, Boxing Day, or Kwanzaa. And I would say Happy Hanukkah, Happy Boxing Day, Happy New Year, or Happy Kwanzaa, even though I don't celebrate most of those holidays myself. So, basically December has a holiday for just about everyone...

Why can you say happy or merry everything else but not "Merry Christmas?" I am sorry but saying "Happy Holidays" doesn't mean shit to me...

(D) Too close to my birthday.

And (E) Too many people want to be a friend of mine during Christmas, but will not talk to me after January 1.

Well that's about it for now...

Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukhah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Boxing Day, or Happy New Year!!!!
