Part of life is seeing your heros die off one by one.
Wesley Willis, Joey Ramone, Johnny Cash, and now Dimebag Darrell...
Dimebag (along with Slash of GnR) was a major influence when I first picked up a guitar 11 years ago. I'd sit for hours trying to figure out Pantera solos and riffs by ear. And from those who were close to him, he was said to be one of the sweetest persons out there and his motivation for playing music was to play music. Not for the fame, glory, or girls. He just wanted to rock and that he did. He will be missed.
