very much Mars Volta-ish...although, if you want me to be honest...i think it sounds as though the lead singer has something unique to offer, like I hear it in his voice sometimes...but its as though he's afraid of his own voice and falls into the same trap that alot of new lead singers fall into...that sort of indie rock, new incubus type of whine that is pretty generic...in this song in particular it only sounds that way in the beginning but begins to find its own stage towards the end...to put it plainly, it lost me at "hello" but had me in the end...
