Saw Morrissey last night at The Riverside Municipal Auditorium. The venue was nice. It holds about 2000 people. I was at work in the area, so I got to the venue around 1:30pm and there were already 50 people waiting in line. I waited over 6 hours in line just so I can be up front. I think I'm gettting too old for this waiting shit ;-) I still find it amazing how Morrissey has the biggest Latino fanbase, yet no one can explain why that is :-)

The opening act was Kristeen Young. She was pretty good, kinda like a new wave Tori Amos. I felt bad for her though, because some drunk guys were yelling Morrissey throughout her performance and then one of them drew his beer at her and it splashed on her keyboard. You have to be biggest moron on earth to throw shit at a performer who is there to entertain you. Drunk people should be banned from going to concerts.

The show Morrissey put on was awesome. I was up front on the left side of the stage. Morrissey and his band played a good mixture of new and old songs. Morrisssey was in good spirits. His band rocked and sounded tight. The crowd went nuts, especially whenever Moz came close to the stage to touch hands. I had a great time. I got home around 12:30am and I still have to go to work again at 6:00am. I'm gonna need a couple of days to recuperate. Later.
