Had myself a wonderful 8 day cruise from Vancouver to Los Angeles. May have got a little too drunk, but I had so much damn fun and danced my ass off in the club area. You know me, love pulling out the dance central/just dance moves… and maybe some ballroom salsa and tango. Anyway… I needed it, badly. Work has been so damn terrible. I think I may have suffered a minor heart attack, the day before I went on vacation, most likely due to stress. A lot of our staff have left and the rest of us are stuck training interns and making up for the workload of inexperienced artists. Our management also decided it was a good idea to hire prior interns to freelance positions, even though we all made complaints and gave warnings of their terrible work ethics… we are constantly making up for flawed management practices… they let upper management, our clients, and even outside help walk all over us, the very team that makes this place somehow work.
anyway.. after visiting Seattle, I decided I need to move, anyway. Texas was good to me; gave me education opportunities, a career, a house (although I sold it back in 2019), and many other things but I’m not real crazy of how it is governed. The politics are crazy and property taxes/rent are out of control. I’ve got some great friends here, on both sides of the aisle, but I’m tired of watching this state screw it’s people ove, and yet everyone accepts it because “our lawmakers know best”
It’s not just that, it’s also the fact that the dry weather in Texas has been murder on my eyes. I never did well with allergy season, down here, and this summer was insane. It’s too dry, so I get a double whammy with my dry eye condition. When I was on the east coast, I never woke up with stingy dry eyes, I come back and I’m back to that. Time to move, I guess. We don’t get enough rain to hold that down.
My old crew at the club disbanded, about 2 months ago. The last member got banned, and is a transvestite who was treated like a novelty at the club. People inflated his ego by constantly patronizing him even when he was wrong, so he began threatening to fire staff or ban people from a club, that he doesn’t own, even for something as petty as not giving him the attention he wanted. The rest of the crew stopped showing a year ago. It’s kinda weird going back to lone-wolfing the club scene, but I’ll make it work. Miss hitting the dance floor and taking all my frustrations from work out on it, but it’s more enjoyable when I got a partner to dance with… the solo dancing just doesn’t cut it, anymore, but I tend to intimidate women. I’m not saying I’m incredible at dancing, but I do have years of experience and ballroom lessons, so I know how to move and lead… but again, I can see how inexperienced dancers can shy away when I try to pull them out… may have to tone myself down. Lol
anyway… it’s Halloween month. Got the Friday of the Halloween weekend off, so should be an entire weekend of clubbing fun. Can’t wait to dress up and mingle. May do my witch doctor from 2020. The face paint took me 2-3 hours, but looked badass.
