Man, it seems like shit just keeps popping up. Had to spend the last few weeks building graphics for the Orlando shooting, now had to build graphics for the Istanbul attack. What the hell is wrong with the world? So much damned hate, and over petty shit like one's own beliefs. Pisses me off how intolerant people can get, and the lengths they go to make their beliefs heard. People suck... People... Suck...
I sometimes fear what the world has become. I'm not scared of those few who want to cause harm, I'm scared of the web they craft. A web that increases in size. Hateful, intolerant, and envious, this web seemed to cast itself over everyone, and politics just seems to make it worse. The whole trump vs Hillary things is driving me mad, because I hear it from both sides (most democratic, since I work in a heavily democratic station), and I'm so very sick of it. At this point, flip a damned coin. We are gonna be stuck with either a turd sandwich or a giant douche, none-the-less. We need an alien invasion to unite everyone, we really do. Or maybe a recluse society of intelligent and bipedal sharks have finally decided to come out of hiding and invade us with their space lasers and/or super telekinetic powers, and harvest us like cattle to use a sacrifices for the alien gods, whom lived below the earth's surface for thousands of years, watching mankind grow into the festering and hateful society it strives for today, waiting for that opertunity to strike with its new army of mutant sharks... Could happen...
Anyway... Had a shitty day. But, all things considered, being alive makes this a great day, just the same. Those poor people who lost their lives in Istanbul are not so lucky, same for those who lost their lives in Orlando... These are some terrifying times we live in, and we should all be greatful to survive each day. Because we could have been in the middle of a freak attack, a Texas-sized asteroid could hit the earth, or a alien shark invasion could take place (I think I'd be fine with that last one... Food chain wins, but they were genetically altered... So natural selection... Was it really natural? Nah, fuck those alien sharks. This is our planet... We should have the right to destroy it in any way we wish. I mean, so what if they come up above the surface... I watched the movie "war of the worlds", the aliens couldn't adapt to an environment alien to their own, and suffered for it... Those sharks would last a week. We would still reign...)
And on that note... My heart goes out to those lost in Istanbul and Orlando. What a shitty year, so far... :,(
