so glad the week is over, just got back from vacation and, go figure, they punish me with more work than normal.

Anyway, Xena (my mother's Japanese chin) has not been doing well, the poor thing. She is so sweet, I had to feed her water with a syringe. Don't know if she doesn't want to move or just can't, it's sad to see the little spit-fire act like this. She usually has a retarded amount of energy when I visit. Normally goes to her bowl, grabs a treat/piece of dog food, then comes over and drops it at my feet like she if gifting it to me. So sweet, ha ha ha. Anyway, my mother is terribly worried, almost to death. I know Xena will pull through.

It's really awesome to see Zorro's reaction (my mother's 10 year old Japanese chin), he is very protective of her, like they are brother and sister. He lays down near her and keeps his eyes on her. I can remember when Zorro wanted to be as far away from her as possible, but I guess her constant laying on him for warmth softened him up. I'd hate to see what would happen if either one of these dogs passed away. A lot of people's hearts would be broken, but the affect on either dog may be worse. Those dogs are just adorable.

So I have been giving it thought, and I need to make a pro' sand con's list for having a pet. I would absolutely love to have one around the house, but unfortunately there are a lot of things I have to remind myself.

1: allergic to cats (sucks cause I love cats)

2: no one will be at the house for nearly 12 hours 5 days a week.

3: taming would take some time., and I just got new carpets

Well, that's all I can think of for now. Although it would be rocking to have a companion in this house, I don't want to force him/her to be stuck in the house for so long without attention or supervision. Dogs specifically require a lot of attention, cats can too... But I normally find them perfect for my given situation since they love to have their personal space. Sucks I have a cat allergy :(
