choices for the new year, and reflection on last year's. i think the choices that we make aren't really choices at all just reactions. reactions to what has been laid out before us. to spend a lot of time thinking about the choices is the wrong idea. spend more time reflecting on the reason you had to make the choice.

why did i join the army?
why did i get married?
why did i choose jamie to be my wife?
why do i listen to the music that i listen to?
why did i read this book or that one?
why did i not stay in teaching?

how would my life be had i reacted differently to some of the situations i have been presented with. where would i be, what would i be doing, who would i be with
