... a shitty, long, stressful day. Parents' evening. An unwelcome reminder that I've not been doing my job terribly well. Stuff going on at home. You know how it is.

But @Adria on the front page...

Glorious, wonderful Adria on the front page...

That. Just. Makes. Everything. All right...

Love that girl...

This was a blog homework from a while back. I'll be honest, my musical tastes are not terribly 'alternative'. I like romantic, dramatic music with good musicianship and strong melodies and enough variation to keep things from getting too stale.

First up...

I had the incredible privilege of seeing Nightwish in Manchester just a couple of weeks after Floor joined the band. Both they and...

I should probably come up with a proper title for this. Look, this story's gathering some weird internal momentum and these strange ideas keep coming to me and, well, it might be around for a while. You have been warned. Superhero stuff ahead...

Shrugging, I turn to the others.

And the breath catches in my throat.

Our last jaunt into the wider alterni-verse had been...

Here's a bit of original (if something so obviously inspired by the works of Grant Morrison can be said to be 'original') fiction taken from a wider piece that I'm working on currently. If you think that this is self-indulgent waffle, then you'd probably be right. But, I hope it's high grade self-indulgent waffle and, consequently, at least transiently entertaining. (The Interloper is not Batman....

Well, I don't know about you but Mondays are crap. Generally. Certainly this one has run true to form. Things that cheer me up on Mondays would include cake (I've had scones - they sort of count), watching good TV (last week's Arrow will do nicely) and, obviously, beautiful girls. Particularly if the aforementioned beautiful girls are smiling.

Now, I love pouting girls, smirking girls,...

@gemmaedwardsuk Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying. I'll still keep my fingers crossed for it, though. It's an awesome set of a quite frankly stunning girl! 😊

Ah yes. I LOVE a genuine smile! The whole face lights up and the eyes sparkle :)

I am, actually, a happily married man. If I wasn't, though, I would probably be spending a considerable portion of my waking hours mooning over these girls...

To say that @Fay is beautiful is like saying the surface of the sun's a bit warm. The hair is an obvious draw. It's such a rich and visually intoxicating mix of colours that it's almost possible to

... in an effort to cheer myself (and maybe you - if you need it) up, here are just a few of my favourite Suicide Girls...

@dimples in a beautiful garden setting. I'm feeling better already... :D

@Countessa Beautiful girls in specs are kind of a thing for me. Countessa wears them well.

A new @Sash set is something that genuinely excites me. Every set

... you could do a lot worse than taking a look at @patsey's blog which features some quite frankly awesome erotic vignettes. Her stuff is poetic, incredibly imaginative and ridiculously intense. Check it out - you won't regret it! :)

Okay. I like to write and I like erotica, but erotica is often difficult to do well. (I've seen some excellent examples on this site, actually - I'll get to them in a moment.) I honestly don't know if this... works or not. I'm not a woman and I am fully aware that male and female sexuality operates on quite different levels. I've tried to...

I'm glad. 😊 There might be a continuation at some point. For perhaps obvious reasons, I'm less confident writing about female sexuality than I an about superheroes fighting trans-dimensional wars. 😊 (That doesn't mean I'm not prepared to give it a go, mind you... 😃)

Over the weekend, my wife and I went down to my brother-in-law's to just, well, get away, really. He's really into long walks and we hadn't had one of those in ages. We ended up walking along the beach at Dunwich and heading into Aldeburgh in the afternoon. My photography skills are not all that, but, when you've got a decent camera on your phone,...

Walking out in nature can really change the way you think about things. I've never been much for the outdoors, especially camping and such. Two years ago my wife rented a cabin for us in the woods about two hours away from where we live. It was refreshing to get out and away from life as we know in the city. It ended up being a really memorable trip for both of us. These photos look nice. Great landscapes. It sounds like a relaxing time.

Two weeks away from it all in a cabin in the woods sounds like heaven to me! :) Personally, I'd love to go camping, but my wife's not keen... Still, this was a nice little break and I feel refreshed and relaxed. We'll definitely be doing more of this sort of thing, I think.  :)
