Well, life is still busy, as life tends to be. Today, though, there will be no marking. Today is for family. Mrs D and I are getting ready for a surprise birthday party for my mum round at ours. She thinks the party's for my sister-in-law (whose birthday was last week), but really it's for her. She does so much for the family and we all agreed that it's time we did something for her. Should be good. (This does mean that she's making a trifle for her own party. 😊) The weather is bright but windy. I just hope it doesn't rain.
Last weekend, we bought a new mower, a bench and some potted flowers. (Very middle class, I know!) The garden is looking the best it's looked in a long while. I hope we have a good summer because I have plans for that bench! (It involves lots of books and a fair amount of tea.)
And finally, I'm an uncle again. My sister-in-law gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Monday morning and she is awesome. 😃
So, yeah, life's busy, but also pretty pleasant right now. Even work has become manageable. Long may that continue! 😊
