I realized as I was unpacking my stuff that I have never lived alone before - always had a roomate before! This is so exciting to me and I am really enjoying it so far. 
I can put things wherever I want. I can load my fridge with whatever I want. I can keep the place as clean as I want. And best of all, it is mine (kinda, as much as renting a place is "yours").
It was such an easy transition too. Friends have been dropping by with gifts - I mean seriously giving.
I've received bags loaded full of food, vegetables, fresh eggs, honey, sheets, towels, iron, paper towels, and even toilet paper, to all get me started!
SO KIND (above and beyond generous) and it made settling in so much easier!
Within a few days, I am all unpacked, fully loaded, and living happy in my great little apartment. It is so quiet and restful here - truly my little refuge.
Today I am are going to print some pictures so that I can put them up on the walls and decorate, then it will be more of a home. Since the neighboring apartments have beautiful rose bushes, I have kinda become a rose thief. I prefer to just think of it as taking advantage of their beauty! I have a big cup full of red, pink, yellow, and orange roses that smell delightful! Shhhh - don't tell on me, pleae!
It has been great getting to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet! On weekends, I get up in the morning and read for as long as I want while drinking some tea on my back porch and then usually listen to some music.

I was on there a few years ago for about a year, and then gave it up completely. I was never planning on going back, but I had quite a few friend who use that only to keep in touch, so I decided to go back. It was quite different from when I had used it before, but I am happy with it now. I dont bother with any of the groups or forums, I just strictly use it for friends. There are some games on there you can play that are fun. Overall its not that bad.
