I am in a very good mood today, not that i'm ever in an awful mood mind, but today is especially awesome....which is surprising as yesterday was awful...
Anyway-so what have I been up to??
well my friends and I followed Dillinger Escape Plan in france, Posion The Well were supporting(another excellent band) and well, it was fun. Apart from the staring and groping, every gig we went to one of us got felt up it was quite disgusting. DEP were amazing as always though and more than made up for it.And was in Paris yet again and saw none of it, oh well.
The past weekend I went to see Sick Of It All 3 times(i work for their booking agent) and got to hang out with them and the lovely Wisdom In Chains. the 5 hour bus ride at 5 am back from the Leeds show was doom though..but was well worth it.we went and watched the boxing after the show after the impromtu drunken dance party outside the venue.I wish theyd come and tour more.Made some awesone new friends too an that is always good.
And Yay yay yay-my favourite girl has finally got her passport application sorted! Cant wait to show her the seedy underbelly of London!!
I am trying to book a holiday myself, however flights to the US seem to have gone up so much lately, which really sucks, but I will get there none the less just maybe not for the summer....but I prefer NYC when its cold anyhow and its never that cold in Cali!
hmmm what else is going on??
well not much, I have become a little bit reclusive of late to save up for all my trips,I still end up at gigs nearly every night, but they are free and I dont drink half as much as i used to.SAVE SAVE SAVE is my kick at the moment and its working.
might be off on tour with a friends band as Tour Manager soon, and I scored myself some free sound engineering lessons, as really I do want to tour more, offices are ok but I have itchy feet again...but yes learning sound will be cool, I asked a friend who runs a venue where to go to school to do it, and he just said why waste time and money on that, come here and be a dogsbody and you will learn so much more.fair point. so I shall be starting that soon, where i shall find the time between my 2 jobs and whatever else is a mystery, but I will.
Also trying to figure out how to move to the USA for a while....maybe i should just find someone to marry me and have done.
Had a cool photoshoot the other day for my portfolio-will post pics soon..and as usual will be performing at Club Anti Christ, and thats all really.
Not my usual genre but i love this song
