it is amazing how life goes back to the same old routine, even if you don't want it to. i'm feeling like i'm at breaking point right now; something needs to change.

ive been thinking about this recently too. how many fresh starts can we have. im sick of them. theres good in the old tooo. you know your life and you know what needs to change. but dont expect too much of yourself. dont allow yourself to fail, if your targets arent too high.

that is true it does devolve to weddings funerals etc, but that's often because there's no context left in the family anyway. We tend to make hopeful promises about seeing each other which don't materialise because we're all so f*cking busy trying to scrape a living and survive. It's nice to see each other for a few hours but that's about it really.

I've just paid off my mortgage cranking up 23 years in the same house
I agree it's unhealthy to be stuck in the same place and can be very detrimental to growth and adaptability but I don't think it's a complete linkage between them there are other factors, employment, family commitments etc.
