Greetings to the wide world of Suicide Girls! Apparently the gods of weather read my last blog and decided to grace me with a bit of winter weather.

This is my dear friend Sherlock, not caring whether its snowing outside, or the apocalypse is upon us. It's quite a life he leads.


I thought I'd write a blog to kind of introduce myself to anyone who happens to read this. First off, my name's Jess. I'm 21 years old and, as I mentioned in my last blog, I'm in my final semester of university in Ontario earning my BSc. in Environmental Biology and minoring in Plant Sciences. I love nature, and being surrounded by trees and life. I'm extremely passionate about tortoises. I don't really know why, but as long as I can remember I've thought they were the most amazing animals. A dream come true for me would be to travel to the Galapagos and work with the giant endangered tortoise species that are endemic there. I'm a total Food Network and Discovery Channel junkie. I've seen every episode of Iron Chef and Mythbusters that's ever been aired. I watch Jeopardy every day and I think of myself as somewhat of a trivia buff. I love to cook, and play guitar. I sing sometimes, but I feel like I'm not as good as I used to be. Maybe at some point I'll try posting a video of me singing, since the anonymity of SG would make me feel a bit more comfortable than posting on say, Facebook, would. I love to travel, both domestically and abroad. I find it so much fun to explore new cities and countries and see the local wildlife.

Anyways, I think that's all for today. I have to ring my mother for our weekly phone call (how lame am I?).
