I came here to talk about Metalmancer. Is a webcomic (created by @andrio and I) about witchcraft and heavy metal.
Metalmancer aims to be against all grain. The story is a parody of every myth related to heavy metal. You’ll find satanic rituals, demons, cemetery gatherings, decadent pubs, cursed hedonists, and all that stuff which set the portentous cosmos of metal universe. However, because the story is a parody doesn’t mean it hasn’t drama, horror, and mystery nuances. It has it, indeed. To be honest, the idea is to create a tragicomedy, a tale as frightening as comic.
Metalmancer isn’t just for who digs into metal. Of course, we wanted to give a voice, a coherent image to the sound and subculture. Beyond that, Metalmancer is a story about a girl surrounded by ghosts. Some of them are the heritage of fatal mistakes; others are just simple fact of fate. This is a tale about learning how to deal with being an outcast, about a girl full of life, rage, passion, and at the same time too close to death. It’s about living on the edge, we mean, about finding in the edge of everything that dies the things which keep us alive. It sounds too poetic, I know. Life can get a little poetry if we let to. So, Metalmancer is a story concerning love, death, passion, fury, and all the tempests that inhabit the spirit of those who desire, burn, suffer; who are alive.
Metalmancer access it’s for free. Anyone can catch up the story. However, to create a comic like this demands time and effort, that’s why we’ve come to Patreon. Values are accessible. The most important thing is that we need some help to keep this creature breathing.
